Winders
One of the unique features of the flatweave fabric is that if installed correctly in most cases it can be manipulated in such a way to make all the lines match up and follow round the turn.
If in the case of only 2 winders round 90degrees or 5 round 180 degrees your winders will require a seem on the tread to make the lines match up (see pictures) this is a skill not every carpets fitter will have or understand.
Overlays
This is a more traditional way to join a 90 degree turn. It is where the end of a runner meets the side on another. We hand sew the join in the case once it’s been finished.
Wall to wall installations
These beautiful stair runners are woven in a narrow width which make the finished edge able to be in hand sewn together to give more scope for use in rooms, on landings or even wall to wall on the stairs.
Mitres
Sown mitres are used in most cases on a quarter or half landings to turn 90 or 180 degrees.
With onsite sewing we use mitres on staggered or dogleg shaped areas or in any way require to create the finish desired. This also keeps the lines flowing though out the stair case.
